Our Client aimed to move to a service-oriented architecture that emphasized modularization, flexibility, reusability, automation and platform independence, amongst other goals.
- Their current IT infrastructure was inflexible, exponentially expensive to maintain and enhance upon, and had suffered from inadequate investments for over a decade.
- In order to align the IT infrastructure with the new business goals of achieving Customer-centricity, our Client sought to transform the IT infrastructure in a “Greenfield” approach.

- ValueMomentum studied the Client's detailed business process and functional requirements documents across product lines, proposed key technology components and their business benefits to assist them in finalizing their conceptual architecture.
- The target environment involved moving to a J2EE, DB2 environment with frameworks such as Business Rules engine (from ILOG), WSAD development environment and RUP methodology.
- ValueMomentum also demonstrated viability of this “platform” by developing a proof-of-concept on a select product application, which was presented to executive leadership.
- Future roadmap involves incorporating additional frameworks such as Business Process Management Engines, EAI frameworks and enterprise common object models. Tools such as legacy code extraction and analysis and screen scraping are also being evaluated to aid in the initiatives
