- This leading Carrier sought to empower its agents to self-serve new business and servicing Commercial Lines for Fleet, Non Fleet and Garage.
- The functionality sought included Contract origination including Quick Quote and App Submission and select service transactions including Endorsements and Renewals.
- The Carrier also wanted to ensure that erroneous and obviously ineligible requests did not drain home office resources by providing Validations upfront
- Customer's information captured had to be stored for future retrieval
- IT executives issued a mandate to utilize “Agile” Development approach given that the scope of the project was likely to remain in flux, while the urgency to deliver functionality was very high.

- ValueMomentum partnered with the Customer by providing thought leadership on the “Agile” development process and proposed a technical architecture involving Websphere Portal and J2EE technologies.
- The responsibilities handled by ValueMomentum included:
- ValueMomentum consultants drove architecture and development and also provided mentoring to the Carrier's IT staff which was in varied stages of adopting J2EE technologies
- Developed interfaces with several systems and services in the background in order to fulfill transactions initiated by Agents. Hostbridge was utilized as Mainframe Interfacing Adapters
- Document Assembly and Generation was enabled using Adobe
- Websphere Portal and JSF were technologies utilized to design and develop the front-end screens.
- Rollout plan accounted for Incremental Releases and was achieved using “Agile” development process (Scrum)
