• Our Customer was receiving Bordereaus – tabular register containing abstracts of insurance that has been written by agents against our customers' underwriting guidelines – manually.
• Instead of writing interfaces to each agent to receive the files and transform as per policy processing system data formats, the Customer wanted to create a standard processing tool that reduced maintenance and setup time for each such agent.

• ValueMomentum partnered with the Customer to create a common, reusable transaction processing service using a Business Process Management tool.
• The responsibilities handled by ValueMomentum included:
  • Evaluated alternative technologies and recommended Microsoft Biztalk Server 5.0 as an underlying platform for the solution.
  • Gathered the requisite use cases in a structured format that could be implemented easily.
  • Leveraged Biztalk's Trading Partner Deployment and Management Services and Rules Engine for defining and managing data transformation rules features for enhancing reusability
  • Developed XML parsers to transform bordereau data into policy system format.
